Sicily Named a Top-Five Residential Floorplan in the Nation
The Sicily at Harris Ridge has been named one of the nation’s top five residential projects at the 2026 Gold Nugget Awards.
The 3,973-square-foot home received an Award of Merit in the Best Single-Family Detached Home from 3,500 to 4,000 Square Feet category.
The Gold Nugget Awards have celebrated excellence in residential architecture, planning and development since 1963, making the program one of the country’s longest-running residential design competitions. This year’s competition drew more than 800 entries nationwide, with Boise Hunter Homes the only Idaho builder to receive an award.

Created specifically for Harris Ridge in collaboration with award-winning architect Mike Woodley, AIA, the Sicily brings a distinctive architectural approach to the Boise Foothills.
That approach extends beyond the exterior, with a floorplan designed around how different generations can live together while maintaining privacy and independence.
Built for Multi-Generational Living
The Sicily includes a private 468-square-foot accessory dwelling unit with its own entrance, bedroom, living area and dedicated garage bay.
An interior courtyard connects the suite to the main residence while bringing natural light and outdoor access into the center of the home. The design keeps the two living areas connected without making either feel secondary.
“The goal was to create a home that could support multiple generations without making either living area feel secondary,” said Woodley. “The courtyard connects the home while giving each space its own sense of privacy and independence.”
